It’s funny, but the older I get the wider and perhaps deeper grow my tastes in music.
I mean, seriously, these days I can find something to like in all kinds of music as well as stuff that many people wouldn’t call music at all.
Anyway, I’d like to share with you a catchy little tune with some tasty meat to it that I recently discovered when I watched an engaging and quirky independent movie on the Sundance Channel called Wristcutters: A Love Story.
The group that did some of the music for the film calls itself Gogol Bordello and according to Wikipedia “is a multi-ethnic Gypsy punk band from the Lower East Side of New York City that formed in 1999 and is known for its theatrical stage shows.”
Here’s a video of one of their songs that knocks me on my ass with good feelings every time I listen to it.
And I listen to it a LOT.
I bet you will too.
Now, isn’t that just plain the cat’s meow?
