Simple Healthy Breakfast

I recently went on a weight loss kick and am working to get down to 145 pounds by Halloween of 2009.

To reach that goal, I’ve drastically changed a lot of my eating habits.

One of the biggest changes involves eating multiple times a day instead of just once a day, as I’ve been doing for years and years.

These days, I like a simple breakfast, and in this entry I want to share one of my favorite ways to start the day with food.

This method is simple and fast.

For breakfast, several times a week, I eat a whole grapefruit (120 calories) and then follow that up a few minutes later with two poached eggs (80 calories each) stirred into a bowl that contains 3/4 of a cup of vitamin enhanced bran flakes (90 calories). I top the eggs with a Cajun spicy rub and then stir the eggs into the cereal.

Yeah, I know, this probably seems like you’re eating a dusty straw hat, but, honestly, that’s not the case. This little meal actually tastes really good, and, even better, it fills me up and keeps me satisfied until lunch.

All for 370 calories.

So don’t be judgmental. Instead, try this simple healthy breakfast, why don’t you?

You have nothing to lose but some of that lard hanging over your belt!
