Healthy Snacking

As part of my current weight loss adventure, I’ve been developing some healthy snacks that also serve as mini meals. Here’s one I call my…

Mulberry Apple Treat

1 apple, sliced and diced
2 dried apricots
5 raw cashews
1/2 ounce mulberries
1/2 ounce raisins

I mix all the above in a small bowl.

This is a fantastic snack and/or mini meal and, guess what, it only contains 214 calories.

It also fills you up and knocks down those hunger pangs that accompany serious attempts at weight loss.

Try this Mulberry Apple Treat. I guarantee you’ll like it as much as I do.

Oh, one more thing. On his website, my buddy Dr. Ben Kim sells the best organic mulberries and raw cashews I’ve ever tasted. If you’re into seriously healthy whole foods, you’ll want to give Dr. Kim’s site a visit.

What a great little snack/mini meal recipe! I don’t have any mulberries but do have blackberry bushes just hanging in blackberries right now…think it’ll be ok to substitute?

Diana, blackberries should make a tasty and healthy substitute indeed. :)
