Contentment Meditation

Wouldn’t it be nice to feel content and happy all the time with what you have?

Well, with today’s contentment meditation I’m going to show you how to do just that.

Let’s get started by turning to Chinese philosopher Lin Yu-tang, who tells lus…

The secret of contentment is knowing how to enjoy what you have, and to be able to lose all desire for things beyond your reach.

Personally, I think contentment can be best found by letting go of the desire for all things… not just those things beyond your reach.

So take a few long, slow deep breaths and deepen your awareness of this moment.

Repeat this breathing pattern until you feel the shift of consciousness and experience the quiet peace of the pause between breaths.

There.

Now become aware of something you want.

Take another breath and as you exhale, let go of wanting that something.

Note how much lighter and more blissful you feel by letting go of that wanting.

Repeat this pattern as many times as you can and let go of as many desires as possible.

Ah, contentment!

Thank you, I need so much to feel the content feeling inside of me. I look
and I see all the people, include myself, been not content. And I ask my soul,
what do you realy want, and she says, I want to be free to enjoy every thing
that already is for long time. I want to feel the silent, the noise is too much in all
    the world.
Airplanes, cars, shopping, music, every body is to besy, with things are not
    important at all.
Our souls are only happy, when we are sleeping, becouse we are so tired, from
every thing we do during the day, till late in de night, That at the moment we
lay in bed, we are completely satisfed in our mind. Finally we don’t have any
desire. We are content, and our souls too.
The nature is the big mother, she gives so much to us.
The sea overflows from live, the humans eats lifes, thinking that life is food.
Every thing that moves became a food.
Birds are food, all the animals are food.
The vegetables, the fruits, the cereals are not enough,
All the beautiful animals has to die to make the humans stronger,
And when they get strong, they make wars just to kill their brothers.
And you people, do every thing. Workshop, congress, to help, and any thing
    helps.
To be content is to have every day less. for sure. Is to eat just the bread, and
drink water, that’s what our body needs, to find peace inside of us, and after
    that, we will be content.

This fits in very well with my daily mantra of “It doesn’t matter. Let it go. ” I haven’t accomplished much in my life, but if I work on and improve my inner self, even at this late date, I might feel like my time on earth was not completely wasted.
