About Chet Day
During my remaining years on planet earth, I want to amuse himself as much as possible while still staying out of the Poor House.
Fed up with political correctness and having to work for a living, I’m determined to devote much of what’s left of my life energy to writing and creating a legacy I can be proud of.
Even at age 62, I’m pretty confident (if some drunken moron in a truck doesn’t kill me in a head-on collision or some equally absurd chaotic bundling of my soul into eternity) that there’s enough juice left in me to hammer out several thousand blog entries as well as another novel or two and a cd of original songs.
When I’m not pounding a keyboard, I do a lot of reading, both fiction and non-fiction. I also write songs to accompany original acoustic guitar music I’ve created since January of 2008 when I revived a long dormant interest in stringed instruments.
Finally, if I can ever save enough money for a really decent movie camera, I have neat ideas for two films I’d like to write and shoot.
And, yes, I do spend some time (not enough) with my wonderful grandson, James, as well as with my first and still only wife, Ellen Schoenberger, who is the mother of our two terrific sons, Josh and Chris.
